SHR Hair Removal
Many people find it difficult to keep up with the time-consuming, short-lived hair removal treatments that they’ve performed their whole lives trying to maintain a hairless body. But hair removal doesn’t have to be so challenging.
At Captivate Aesthetics, we stand behind Super Hair Removal (SHR) as one of the best ways to achieve permanent hair reduction.
SHR can help for any area that you need to de-fuzz. In a matter of minutes, growing hair follicles are impaired with minimal discomfort. The highly concentrated energy of the pulsed light targets the pigment in the hair follicles. For this reason, laser hair removal work best on those with dark, coarse hair and a fair complexion. However, people without this combination can still get great results.
During the session, the cooled crystal glides over the skin continuously, spreading the heat and therefore creating a virtually painless hair removal treatment. The process requires a series of treatments, but results can already be seen after just the first time. With every treatment progressively fewer and fewer hairs return. Finishing the series of treatments is crucial, as that ensures that you see the highest degree of permanent hair reduction.
IPL Skin Rejuvenation
IPL skin rejuvenation is suitable to rejuvenate sensitive skins, and to calm inflamed and red skin. It is also useful to treat unsightly capillary veins. It is unfortunately only suitable for skin types I-III.
Nd Yag Carbon Facial
The Carbon Facial involves applying a layer of liquid carbon over the face, which penetrates deep into the pores. The skin is then treated with an NdYag laser, with the carbon particles absorbing the light. The carbon absorbs contaminants, and when the laser destroys the carbon it gets rid of these too. The laser also removes dead skin cells, blackheads and oil.
The process is meant to exfoliate the skin, reducing pore size, evening out skin tone as well as making the skin softer and appear more radiant.
Exilis
Exilis is a radiofrequency (RF) device that gently heats the deeper part of the skin causing collagen stimulation and rebuilding. Changing power and cooling during treatment allows the device to treat deep tissue all the way up to the superficial layer.
Exilis is not a laser. There is no skin peeling, pigment change or prolonged healing associated with its use. There is no pain, only a moderate to intense sensation of heat which tells you that the treatment is achieving its goal. There is no anaesthetic required with Exilis treatments.
Common areas of treatment include the eye area, around the mouth, chin area, jaw line, jowl, décolleté, arms, legs, knees, ankles and buttocks, abdomen, love handles, and the intimate areas. Patients with a pacemaker, metal implants or who are pregnant or nursing may not undergo RF treatments.
Most patients undergo 6 – 8 treatments scheduled on a weekly basis. Each treatment of a specific body part usually takes between 15 to 30 minutes. This can vary depending on the treated area and indication. You may see immediate tightening of loose tissue after your first Exilis treatment, but you will not see full lifting results until after the course of treatments because of the long-term collagen production, which may take up to 3 months.
