Dermal
Fillers
What is a filler and how does it work?
How long do fillers last?
Are the treatments painful?
Are there any side effects?
What should I do after my filler injection?
Because dermal filler is a relatively simple, non-surgical treatment, there is minimal recovery time. The treatment takes between 10-30 minutes and one can return to work on the same day.
For the first 24 hours following treatment, you should avoid strenuous exercise, excessive sun or heat exposure, and alcoholic beverages in order to help minimise the risk of temporary redness, swelling and/or itching.
Will my lips look too big?
Many people notice that, as time goes by, their lips look smaller than they did in the past. For these people a light filler treatment does the trick. It returns your lips to how they looked when you were younger.
Other people feel that their lips are just too small. If that is your situation, filler can be used to naturally enlarge your lips so that they look more plump but are still appropriate for your age and facial features.
Our approach is to always produce a natural result that makes you look younger and more attractive, not like you’ve had treatment.
What if I do not like the results of my treatment, or there is an area that I do not like?
One of the major advantages of these hyaluronic acid fillers is that they are reversible. In the unlikely event that you are not happy with the results of your treatment, a touch-up can be performed.
If needed, the entire treatment can be reversed by injecting a safe medication, called hyaluronidase, which completely dissolves the filler.
What are the costs involved?
The costs vary widely and depend on the type of filler, the area injected, the various techniques used and the amount of filler that was injected. Because we provide a customized approach to enhancing each individual’s unique features, a personal consultation and quote is mandatory.
